BBC weather presenter and East Midlands Today forecaster

Who is this Sara Blizzard?

The 47-year-old is a regular weather presenter on the BBC's Midlands Today, East Midlands Today and North West Tonight regional bulletins.
She grew up in Coventry and originally trained in dance and drama at the independent Pattison College.
Her theatrical training earned her a role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, but that was as far as it went.
Sara started her broadcasting career when she hosted a regular afternoon programme, Sentimental Sunday, on hospital radio, while also working behind the scenes at Mercia FM - now Free Radio Coventry & Warwickshire.
She was later chosen to present the Two Guys and a Girl Breakfast Show on Leicester Sound, which included a segment that saw her interview different celebrities in a jacuzzi.
One of her first celebrity interviews was with Boyzone's Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch - though it was just before they found fame.
Sara joined LIVE TV as a news reporter in 1997 and fronted a number of programmes based in Liverpool, including Vets and Pets and Crimestoppers style show Merseybeat.
She joined the BBC team in 1999, replacing Lisa Dransfield as the main weather presenter on East Midlands Today.
Her favourite song is Dan Hill's Sometimes When We Touch and Two Ronnies remains her best-loved TV show.
